SDOT advises travelers to be aware of the following events happening in the city that may affect traffic. Bicyclists in the Seattle to Portland Bike Ride leave the University District early Saturday morning. The Seattle Street Food Festival in South Lake Union is Saturday and Sunday. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will close the westbound SR 520 bridge between Bellevue and Montlake Blvd Friday night to Monday morning.

\nBon Odori Festival: An official Seafair event held at the Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Temple in Seattle’s Central District that closes S Main St between 14th Ave S and 16th Ave S. The Mariners play tonight at Safeco Field and have a 12:40 p.m. day game on Wednesday; the southbound SR99 exit to S Atlantic St will be closed for approximately one hour following the afternoon Mariners game. \nNeighbours Gay Pride: A party in the alley on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. The alley runs between Harvard Ave and Broadway, bordered by Pike and Pine streets. About 300 people a night are expected to attend.

\nSDOT is advising travelers that the 43rd Annual Seattle Pride Parade is on Sunday, June 25 starting at 11 a.m. until about 3:30 p.m. There are staggered street closures along 4th Ave beginning at 7 a.m. The parade and associated street closures are expected to have a significant impact on traffic around the downtown area, so please plan your day ahead accordingly.
\nAbout 205,000 people are expected to attend. Parade organizers are expecting the parade to run a little longer than previous years. Street closures vary for staging and parade areas.
\nWhat to expect:
\n4th Ave is scheduled to close:
\nDenny Way is scheduled to close from 4th Ave to 2nd Ave around 12 p.m.
\nAll Streets are expected to reopen by 5 p.m.
\n\nThe parade will last about 3.5 hours, ending at Second Avenue and Denny Way near Seattle Center. Parade viewers are encouraged to watch the parade from the sidewalks, leaving the street open for the parade. Pride volunteers will be stationed throughout the route and at the intersection of Denny Way and Second Avenue to assure the safe and orderly flow of parade participants throughout the area. Pedestrian crossing at Denny Way will be restricted to the east side of Fourth Avenue. The I-5 southbound exit ramp at Union Street will close at approximately 9:30 a.m.

\nRock n’ Roll Half and Full Marathon: Starts near UW Husky Stadium at 6:30 a.m. The course continues south on Lake Washington Boulevard, west on Genesee St, north on Rainier Ave S, west on S Dearborn St, south on 4th Ave S, west on S Royal Brougham Way to CenturyLink Field on S Occidental Ave S. The full marathon continues in the northbound lanes of SR99 between S Massachusetts St and 6th Ave N and ends at CenturyLink Field. Streets will be reopened as runners proceed through the course, all streets will be reopened by 3 p.m. About 18,000 people are expected to participate.
