CAM 333, Requirements for Verifying Contractor Registration
|
| Washington State law (RCW 18.27) requires local jurisdictions to verify registration of contractors who will be performing work for which building permits with a value of more than $5,000 are obtained. In Seattle, the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) is the agency responsible for issuing building permits and for verifying contractor registration.
Verification is defined as the receipt and duplication of the contractor's registration card that is current on its face, checking the state's registration database, or calling the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (1-800-647-0982) for confirmation. The license must be valid as of the date of permit issuance. |
