| Trees and vegetation in environmentally critical areas (ECAs) are an essential aspect of functioning habitat and provide substantial benefits for citizens in the form of slope stabilization and protection of water quality. Consequently, the City of Seattle provides protections for trees and vegetation within landslide-prone critical areas (including steep slopes), steep slope buffers, riparian corridors, shoreline habitat, shoreline habitat buffers, wetlands and wetland buffers. |
